Welcome to the website of Court Celtic FC, a Sunday league team playing in the Birmingham Coronation and Alliance League Division 1. Established in 1968, this season marks the 40th anniversay of the founding of the club.

New Start
Pre-season training got underway last night and although there weren't as many as we'd have liked, everyone that attended put the effort in.
This Saturday sees Court Celtic enter two teams at the Wake Green 5-a-side tournament. For those that are attending please ensure you bring at least £5 for entry to the competition.
If any players are not involved in the tournament team you will will be manning the Court Celtic stall at Shirley Carnival from 12pm. Please make an effort as it is to raise extra money for the club and will go towards extra equipment and the end of season tour. Remember to wear your tour t-shirts if you have them!

Pre-Season Training
Don't forget that training resumes tomorrow night at Shirley Park. Be there as close to 6:30 as possible so that we can get to the pub nice and early! Don't forget that money will be collected to subsidise training once we move to a different venue in the winter so please do not forget your money!
Finally, there will be a short meeting after the session so please do your utmost to attend! A special guest will be there to inform everyone of some forthcoming activites for the season.

5-a-side and Fundraising
There is a 5-a-side at Wake Green AFC on Saturday 5th July at 09:45. Anyone interested in participating for Court Celtic should contact Ally as soon as possible.
Following this tournament there will be a fundraising event at Shirley Park where any help would be much appreciated.

Congratulations
Well done to Stu (Player's Player), Ally (Services to the Club), Mark (Manager's Player), Alex (Club Man) and Bully (Golden Boot) who all won awards at the end of season night out. This season has been a resounding success for Court Celtic and everyone has played their part in earning promotion and reaching the latter stages of the Coronation Cup.
Leading on to next season, we would like to continue the success of 2007/2008 and that means raising money for the club. If you would like to sponsor Court Celtic or know of anyone that would please use the form on the contact page or mail us directly.
The website has also been updated to allow you to comment on anything you may see on the site. All comments will be moderated before they appear on the site so please allow a reasonable amount of time for your message to appear.
Finally, pre-season training will resume on Thursday 3rd July at 6:30pm in Shirley Park. Please make sure you attend and bring along any new players who may be interested in joining Court Celtic.

AGM and Awards
On Thursday there will be the Court Celtic AGM at The Lamp Tavern. The meeting commences at 7:30pm so please make an effort to be there on time. The future of the club will be discussed so it is important for you all to be present.
This Saturday, Stu has kindly organised the 2007/2008 Court Celtic awards dinner. The evening begins at 7pm and is being held at Piquant Restaurant in Moseley. The cost will be £16 which also covers the trophies.
